Our Services

We provide independent, confidential inspection and consulting services for homeowners, contractors, builders, developers, insurers, and legal professionals across all flooring types, including tile, stone, hardwood, engineered wood, laminate, resilient flooring (LVT/LVP, vinyl, linoleum), carpet, and specialty flooring systems.

All inspections, evaluations, and recommendations are conducted in accordance with nationally recognized industry standards, manufacturer requirements, and accepted installation practices, including but not limited to:

  • Tile Council of North America (TCNA) Handbook
  • ANSI (American National Standards Institute)
  • ASTM International
  • National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA)
  • Resilient Floor Covering Institute (RFCI)
  • Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI)

When laboratory analysis is required, we utilize Industry Recognized Testing Facilities, to perform ANSI- and ASTM-compliant testing.

Pre-Construction Quality Control

Our pre-construction consulting services help homeowners and project teams identify potential system conflicts, constructability concerns, and specification gaps prior to installation. We evaluate substrates, environmental conditions, materials, and installation methods to reduce risk, control costs, and prevent failures—especially on complex or technically demanding flooring projects.

Installation Quality Control

We provide on-site quality control monitoring to help ensure flooring installations comply with applicable industry standards, manufacturer requirements, and approved methods. These services support schedule adherence, budget control, and long-term performance across residential and commercial projects.

Inspections

Our on-site inspections deliver an objective, third-party evaluation of existing flooring installations. Findings are documented in a detailed, confidential written report with photographic documentation as needed, providing clear explanations for homeowners and defensible documentation for contractors, insurers, and legal counsel.

Forensic Deconstruction

When flooring failures are not apparent at the surface, we perform controlled forensic deconstruction to identify root causes. This in-depth analysis evaluates whether appropriate materials, substrates, installation methods, and industry standards were followed, supplying critical technical evidence for dispute resolution, insurance claims, and litigation support.

Expert Testimony

With extensive experience analyzing flooring installation failures and a comprehensive understanding of national standards, we serve as consultants and expert witnesses for both plaintiffs and defendants. Services include case analysis, depositions, arbitration, and courtroom testimony, delivering clear, technically sound opinions under oath.
